Hello Community!
After consulting with schema, I came up with an idea, how to support the game, and bring creativity into the life of Star Made Community.
So here is the deal: build the Battlestar Galactica (eventually Battlestar Pegasus), and share the screenshots here in forum. The more accurate it is (inside&outside+weaponry) the bigger chance you have to win!
The winner will be decided by the community!
To help to decide which one is the best. The very best concepts can be uploaded to Ships section (probably the non winners will be deleted), so the community can try it out.
Addition info: If I see any other good ships (like vipers, BaseStar, etc..) will be judged by me, and also have the chance to win the game! So basicly there can be multiple winners!

Took me about 3 days and was incredibly difficult!!! I couldn't place cannons on the side of the ship like the real Galactica due to ship editor limitations, so all weapons fire from the front of the ship. The missile launcher is supposed to represent the Galactica's nuclear weaponry. I was super hesitant about adding a glass observation toom which is not present on the Galactica but in the end I went for it to allow players get an awesome view as they cruise through space.
The core is in the command center which can be accessed through the hanger decks.

Very nice ship! I love all the screenshots, I'll load it on to the US Test server so people can play with it.
uum sorry to say it but it looks like a dragon... not that im judging you it looks cool but it doenst look like the galactica but keep it up m8 it looks nice
well the ship looks cool but the galactica has a brown hull right?

clearskiesNL, the Galactica actually has a grey hull. Pic: http://www.scifireaders.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/galactica.jpg I think the offputting thing is the glassed cockpit, which I am really regreting now. I may make a v2 and remove the cockpit to make it look more sloped on the front like the proper ship.
maybe you should protect the cores a little bit cause when not protected a fast mover (ship) can activate cloak and kill you from behind :( just a tip and im looking forward to you building more ships you can build pretty good :)

Ok, here is my Battlestar v2! http://www.star-made.org/node/256 I changed the front to remove the cockpit room and I'm happier with how it looks now. I also improved the nuclear missiles a little and power generator capacity. It flies nicely now, but if you spam lazers your energy will slowly deplete, so it should be nice and balanced. Nukes are lethal to other ships, but consume lots of energy.
Can a mod remove my old version? (http://www.star-made.org/node/249) I will upload it again, but with a different ship name to avoid confusion.

All ships are entered through the core at the back. I regret that they are a little larger than I wanted... Obviously they can't be in scale with the Galactica, but I really wanted them to be tiny for that sense of epic scale, but unfortunatly this just wasn't possible.
Viper + Galatica.. I will bring the ship to far away from everything, spawn millions of cylons in game... and my goal will be to find a new home, called Earth.. :)
@clearskiesNL: I spoke with schema. I sad to him, that I want to "invest" in StarMade project. The winner(s) will get the game from me (so I buy it). Since I see noone else entering the contest I think Baron will likely win.

As I mentioned in introduction, if I like more ships, it is also possible that more people will get the game
maaaybe you should w8 till planet capture is in? then you can really call it a home but ofcourse defend it from me >:)
cause when its in im starting my build on the planet cracker XD (dead space)
this will have arround 5 hull platings and a ton of missle launchers to kill bases and destroy the planet
